This week, GGPoker and the World Series of Poker (WSOP) announced they have partnered to launch the WSOP Super Circuit Online Series on the GGPoker Network. The online poker series will debut on the network, offering hundreds of individual tournament events.
Details of the Super Circuit Online Series:
Players will be able to compete in a plethora of events with 18 headliners offering a World Series of Poker Circuit ring to the winner. Taking a play from their live tournaments, the WSOP Circuit will also be offering two invitations to the World Series of Poker Global Championship. This is an official bracelet tournament. During the Online Series, the winner of the Main Event and the overall series points leader will earn the invitation.
The tournaments will begin in early May and will continue for a full three weeks. The entire schedule of the WSOP Circuit Online Super Series will be announced in the near future.
According to a press release…
With the series being held on the GGPoker Network, players from around the world will be able to take part in Circuit action from the comfort of home. Players of GGPoker will be able to qualify for events via satellites, which will have much lower buy-ins than the events themselves.
Jean-Christophe Antoine, the Head of GGPoker, commented that the company is thrilled to be hosting the Super Circuit Online Series with the WSOP as their partner. Antoine stated the partnership brings two like-minded global organizations together and he can’t wait to see poker players from GGPoker competing for a Circuit ring online.
Daniel Negreanu, an ambassador for GGPoker, commented as well, giving credit to the WSOP for creating the online option during this trying time. Online players will have the ability to see what’s it like to compete for a ring via GGPoker.
