Wynn Palace of Cotai was set to open in March, but now the owner of the venue, Wynn Resorts Ltd, has announced their newest Macau casino will be delayed for three months in opening. The new date set for launch is June 25th of 2016. The reason behand the delay is due to construction.

Leighton Holdings Ltd., the general contractor of the project, notified Wynn Resorts and stated they would not be able to complete the project by the March date. 2016 will be a big year as the $4.1 billion Wynn Palace is one of several new resorts to open. The new venues, such as the one by Wynn Resorts, would hopefully help Macau, which has been struggling as of late with a decline in betting due to a crackdown on corruption by government officials.

Wynn Palace will feature 1,700 hotel rooms with beautiful landscaping, which will include a lake with fountains and gondolas. A casino for entertainment, spa for relaxation, retail stores, food and beverage areas and meeting space are also to be included in the property.
