After last month increasing its presence in the regulated Spanish iGaming market via a supply deal with operator GVC Holdings, prominent online casino games developer Yggdrasil Gaming Limited has now announced the signing of a similar agreement for Italy with Lottomatica.
Yggdrasil Gaming Limited is a subsidiary of Swedish online casino operator Cherry AB and initially entered the Italian iGaming market in May courtesy of a video slots supply arrangement with the Gioco Digitale brand of GVC Holdings before expanding this presence seven months later via an analogous contract with Eurobet.it.
Malta-based Yggdrasil Gaming Limited stated that the deal with Lottomatica is set to give the operator access to its full portfolio of online video slots including the recently-premiered Vikings Go Berzerk title for use on the Totosi.it and Lottomatica.it domains. The developer declared that the agreement will moreover allow its Italian partner, which is a subordinate of London-headquartered gaming giant International Game Technology (IGT), to utilize its Boost collection of in-game promotional tools.
“Italy has quickly emerged as one of Europe’s most important iGaming markets and major operators like Lottomatica have played an important role in this process,” read a Wednesday statement from Fredrik Elmqvist, Chief Executive Officer for Yggdrasil Gaming Limited. “This partnership enables us to build upon our strong growth in Italy and develop a long-lasting and fruitful relationship with Lottomatica.”
Yggdrasil Gaming Limited has grown quickly since receiving its first license in 2013 with the previous twelve months alone seeing it agree some 18 games supply deals with operators located across Europe. In addition, last week saw the innovator premiere its Yggdrasil Game Server Masters scheme and invite independent parties to assist it in creating new and innovative titles.
