After last week entering the regulated online gambling market in Denmark via an initial agreement with Jackpotjoy, prominent games developer Yggdrasil Gaming Limited has now further expanded its presence by agreeing a similar supply deal with local operator Danske Spil A/S.

Malta-based Yggdrasil Gaming Limited stated that the most recent arrangement will see Danske Spil A/S begin offering players in Denmark its full portfolio of online video slots including the recently-premiered Vikings Go Berzerk from the first quarter of 2018 utilizing a platform from giant operator GVC Holdings (GVC:London).

A subsidiary of Swedish online casino operator Cherry AB, Yggdrasil Gaming Limited declared that the agreement will also see its games go live on GVC Holdings’ Bwin.dk domain while both operators are to have access to its Boost collection of in-game promotional tools as well as its Brag social sharing innovation.

Fredrik Elmqvist, Chief Executive Officer for Yggdrasil Gaming Limited, explained that his firm’s entry into the regulated Danish online gambling market had been met with ‘significant interest’ from operators that are looking at ways of improving their ‘gaming portfolios’.

“This latest deal to go live on Danske Spil A/S and Bwin.dk via GVC Holdings brings our games to players with two of Denmark’s most popular brands,” read a statement from Elmqvist.

For his part, Soren Schneider, Head of Product for Danske Spil A/S, described Yggdrasil Gaming Limited as a ‘well-respected name within gaming’ before proclaiming that the new partnership would allow the operator to further strengthen its online offering.

“Danske Spil A/S is always looking to better serve our player base and we are certain that Yggdrasil [Gaming Limited] games will prove extremely popular,” read a statement from Schneider.
