VSiN, the Las Vegas-based sports betting content network, has launched a new partnership with FanDuel Sports Network that will bring its programming to audiences across the United States. The agreement, announced Thursday, August 28, will see the debut of VSiN By the Books airing weekday mornings from 7 to 10 a.m. ET on the FanDuel Sports Network app and nine of its regional channels.
FanDuel And VSiN Announce Nationwide Content Deal
Hosted by veteran broadcaster Dave Ross and former Major League Baseball pitcher Jensen Lewis, the program blends betting analysis with engaging discussions and entertaining insights. The show reviews the previous night’s biggest sports betting stories and previews the day ahead, featuring a rotating roster of guests such as professional gamblers, sportsbook insiders, pro athletes, and local media experts.
Steve Cohen, VSiN’s Executive Vice President of Talent and Programming, expressed enthusiasm about the expanded collaboration. “We’re thrilled to bring VSiN’s unique sports betting content to the passionate fans that watch their favorite local teams play on FanDuel Sports Network,” he said. “This latest expansion of our distribution footprint helps cement VSiN’s position as the leading creator of sports betting content anywhere.”
The partnership expands FanDuel’s footprint in sports media, allowing VSiN’s content to reach fans in multiple key markets, including Detroit, Florida, the Midwest, North, Ohio, the South, Southwest, West, and Wisconsin.
Norby Williamson, President of Programming and Production at Main Street Sports Group, which operates FanDuel Sports Network, highlighted the importance of catering to regional sports fans. “At FanDuel Sports Network, everything starts with the local sports fan,” Williamson said, as reported by VSiN. “Partnering with VSiN allows us to deliver smart, entertaining betting insights tied to the teams and games our audiences care about most.”
VSiN’s programming is well-known for its in-depth coverage, offering 18 or more hours of live betting content every day. The company broadcasts from studios located inside Las Vegas’ Circa Resort and Casino and Circa Sports at The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs, ensuring that its analysis remains connected to the pulse of the betting industry.
Ross, who previously hosted multiple sports shows for Chicago-based Stadium and spent nearly two decades covering professional teams for FOX 5 in Washington, D.C., brings extensive experience to the show. Lewis, a former MLB relief pitcher with nine seasons under his belt, has built a broadcasting career as a television analyst for the Cleveland Guardians and host for several Ohio-based sports radio stations. He continues to appear nationally on MLB Network, host shows on SiriusXM/MLB Network Radio, and serve as a college baseball analyst for ESPN.
Shifts In The Sports Media Landscape
This partnership follows significant changes in the sports betting media space. DraftKings initially acquired VSiN in 2021 for about $70 million but sold it back to its founders, Brian Musburger and Bill Adee, in July 2024. The sale marked a strategic shift for DraftKings, which scaled back its content investments while maintaining advertising ties with the network.
Since regaining independence, VSiN has prioritized expanding its partnerships and distribution opportunities. FanDuel’s approach, in contrast, has leaned heavily into media expansion. The operator rebranded its TVG channels in 2022 and has since pursued additional live sports rights, partnerships, and programming to enhance its engagement with bettors beyond its app.
With the NFL season approaching, the addition of VSiN’s content gives FanDuel a steady lineup of expert-driven programming designed to inform and entertain both seasoned bettors and newcomers. The collaboration underscores the growing intersection between betting operators and media platforms as they compete for market share in the rapidly evolving U.S. sports betting industry.
