Japanese ruling coalition is remaining divided with regards to legalizing integrated resorts and casinos. On Monday a delay occurred on the decision to pass or reject the bill. Lawmakers who want to legalize gambling said they were going to resubmit the bill Tuesday March 31, 2015. However, on Monday they announced they would not. They are instead waiting to see if Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will back the bill. Abe does want casinos as a means of economic growth, but he may not be willing to back the coalition. Las Vegas Sands Corp and MGM Resorts International are two of the top casino brands waiting for a decision to be made.
