There has been a lot of back and forth as to whether Glenn Straub would be able to purchase Revel Casino. There was certainly some doubt in the last few days of March 2015 that it would happen. However, the judge has given Straub the casino for $82 million. Straub is a South Florida developer. Part of the delay in allowing the sale was a statement that Straub had in the contract for sale regarding things like tenants’ leases. After amending the sale document the judge cleared the bankrupt casino to be owned by the developer. According to Times Union, the new owner of Revel Casino property also hopes to buy other properties in Atlantic City including the former Showboat Casino.
