Maryland Lottery and Gaming announced that the state’s five land based casinos generated a total of $96.7 million gaming revenue in August 2015, which is an increase of 20 percent compared to the same month the previous year.
In particular, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore which opened in August 2014 generated $27.6 million revenue from its 2,200 slots and 178 table games. Hollywood Casino Perryville recorded $6.6 million in gaming revenue from its 850 slot machines and 22 tables which decreased 10.8 percent from August 2014.
Furthermore, Maryland Live, which operates 4,059 slot games and 202 tables, generated $52.1 million revenue in August this year which decreased by 9.1 percent from August last year. Casino at Ocean Downs, which operates only slot machines, generated $6.1 million in slots revenue. The number is 2.3 percent up from August 2014.
Lastly, Rocky Gap Casino Resort recorded revenue of $4.4 million from its 627 slots and 18 table games. Compared to the same month last year the revenue increased by 3.6 percent.
