Resorts World Birmingham has announced a phased roll out launch beginning with retail store grand openings on October 21, and casino gaming beginning on Monday the 26th.
Doors will open at 10am and patrons will be welcomed to enjoy shopping at the anchor retail outlet shops (Next, Nike, and The Gap) all offering discounted fashion and electronics. Future vendors will include Bench, Jeff Banks, Phase Eight, and North Face among others.
Friday, October 23rd the Cineworld 11-cinema complex will open just in time to feature the newest James Bond film, Spectre. The theater will feature the regions first IMAX screen in a multiplex as well as Starbucks and Baskin and Robbins concessions.
The Resorts’ four-star Genting Hotel, the first one in Europe, will begin booking guests as of November 2nd. The 178 boutique rooms and suites feature Feng Shui design and premium toiletries. The adjacent Asian-themed spa will spotlight the trendy Santai by EF Medispa, a vitamin, mineral, and micro-nutrient IV drip therapy as well as more traditional spa treatments.
In addition to a broad range of restaurants and bars, the resort’s casino will be the largest in Great Brittan, open 24-hours and feature slot machines, table games, electronic table games, poker rooms – all adjacent to an outdoor smoking terrace.
The resort, designed to resemble the experience of a luxury cruise ship, is the newest from the Malaysian Genting Group who invested U.S. $230 million in its construction. The seven-floor facility can accommodate as many as 12,000 people, and will provide up to 1,200 jobs.
