Watanabe Masahiro owns Rota Treasure Island Casino and Hotel. He is very interested in re-opening the casino in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. He is only one of two casino license holders that can run a gambling location on Rota. The casino closed down a couple of years ago, but he feels with a partnership of Korean investors that the casino could start to make revenue again. The Korean investors are looking to create a golf course on Rota close to the casino. By bringing in more tourism for golf, Watanabe believes there would be an increase of interest in the casino. Nothing has been signed yet, but news is looking promising for the venture.

Of the Northern Mariana Islands, only Saipan, Tinian, and Rota, are inhabited.
