Global online gaming and sportsbetting giant William Hill has announced that Ruth Prior will be joining its corporate ranks later in the year to serve as Chief Financial Officer.

London-listed William Hill is responsible for over 2,300 betting shops in the United Kingdom and revealed that Prior is currently the Chief Operating Officer for British payments processing technology and solutions firm Worldpay.

“Ruth is a strong addition to the William Hill board and executive team,” read a statement from Philip Bowcock, Chief Executive Officer for London-based William Hill. “Her experience in digital operations, online payments and finance is all highly relevant to our strategic priorities to deliver an even better customer experience and faster growth. We welcome her to the William Hill team.”

Before joining Worldpay in October of 2013 to serve as the London-based company’s Deputy Chief Financial Officer, Prior was employed as Chief Financial Officer for EMI Group. She has additionally worked for private equity firm Terra Firma Capital Partners after beginning her career at consumer goods firm Unilever.
