Online sportsbook operator 10Bet has signed a sponsorship agreement with VfL Wolfsburg to serve as the German top-flight soccer club’s official betting partner for the remainder of its current domestic season.
The latest in a series of marketing initiatives from 10Bet in the run-up to next summer’s 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, the deal will see the sportsbetting provider’s branding feature on interview boards, television screens and pitch-side advertising displays inside VfL Wolfsburg’s 30,000-seat Volkswagen Arena as well as on all of its online and print media communications.
Established in 2003 and licensed by the Gambling Commission in the United Kingdom, 10Bet stated that the agreement forms part of its ‘aggressive expansion’ into new markets including those of Germany, Switzerland and Austria. It additionally revealed that it was holding ‘preliminary discussions’ with an unnamed Premier League club in England about the possibility of inking a shirt sponsorship deal while moreover considering ‘a number of other options with leading international brands’.
Oshri Kostiner, Chief Marketing Officer for Malta-based 10Bet, declared that his firm was ‘delighted’ to be supporting VfL Wolfsburg and was looking forward to seeing the partnership ‘evolve over the coming years’.

Formed after the Second World War as a works team for local automobile manufacturer Volkswagen, VfL Wolfsburg gained promotion to the top-flight Bundesliga in 1997 before going on to secure its only domestic title in 2009.
