The most long-standing C-level iGaming event in Asia will celebrate its 10th anniversary next week by hosting the first Gaming Innovation Start-up Launchpad. Over 150 C-Suite executives along with tech and iGaming investors and other gaming experts will have a first-hand look at the platform, which gives vetted start-ups a stage to present their products and services to the industry.
The iGaming Asia Congress (iGA) is produced by industry veteran organizer, Beacon Events. It will be held at the Grand Hyatt, Macau for three days beginning March 13. Delegates can look forward to two days of conferencing with in-depth industry workshops on March 15. Networking activities include lunches, hosted drinks, and a free to play poker tournament for Congress attendees at City of Dreams, Macau.
Conference Producer, Giulia Timarco commented on the new addition to the program when he said: “iGaming Asia Congress has been the premier C-level igaming event in Asia for the past decade. We would like to bring in more up-and-coming igaming innovators to the event in an attempt to drive innovation and bring new opportunities to the gaming industry in the region.”
A panel of judges will be assembled for the Launchpad session from a variety of backgrounds including the realms of innovation and investment. The session will be moderated by Harmen Brenninkmeijer, Managing Director of Dynamic Partners.
BlitzPredict, Inplay Racing, and Skytree Digital Limited have been chosen as finalists and each will have 8 minutes to present and pitch their services and products to the panel which includes Tobias Svensen, CEO of CasinoGrounds; Andre Rodrigues, CEO of GoldBlue AB; Donna Nguyen Phuoc, Partner at SPARQ Capital, and Konstantin Katsev, CMO of True Flip.
The grand prize is being sponsored by True Flip. The company with the most highly rated showcase product or service will exhibit and have a tabletop booth at a Beacon Events conference. Possibilities for the start-up include the inaugural Investment Opportunities in Asian Gaming (IOiAG), iGaming Asia Congress (IGA), Asia Gaming Summit (AGS), or Gaming, Racing & Wagering Australia (GRWA).
According to a media release from Beacon Events, the iGaming industry is a US$15 billion annual business globally, and tech innovation is the backbone of the industry. Some of the topics that create the most interest are artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain tech, initial coin offerings (ICOs), and of course new games. All will be covered at the event.
The conference’s first keynote address will be delivered by Sue Schneider, Editor in Chief of the Gaming Law Review and Economics. Topics for day one include – Keynote: Looking Back at 10 Years of iGaming in Asia and Planning for the Future; Examining the Licensing Alternatives and Their Value Regionally and Globally; Panel: Looking Closely at the ASEAN Landscape, and Keynote: The Growing Synergy between Sports Betting and Sports in the Region, and Where are the New and Existing Opportunities? A networking lunch will commence and then it’s back to business with “Unlock Sports Betting”, eSports and DFS Opportunities in Asia. Wrapping up day one will be the RPN Cup poker tournament.
Day two will delve deeply into marketing and alternative marketing solutions along with Payments, Cryptocurrencies, Big Data, Blockchain Technology and Cybersecurity prior to a networking lunch and resume with the first-ever iGA Gaming Innovation Start-up Launchpad before returning to the all-important topic of payments.
