Poker players are already looking forward to the 2017 World Series of Poker Europe for a number of reasons. First, the event is taking place at King’s Casino of Rozvadov, a hot property in the Czech Republic that has hosted several events over the past few months. The schedule for the series is also chock-full of gaming action. With the 2017 WSOPE set to begin next month, players are gearing up to compete in the 84 tournaments with 11 gold bracelet events on the schedule.
As with any poker tournament series, the Main Event is one of the more anticipated events. With the 2017 WSOPE Main Event, the tournament was supposed to have a guaranteed prize pool of €4 million. However, that amount has been increased to €5 million. With the addition of another €1 million in prize money, the champion of the event will now be guaranteed to earn at least €1 million in prize money plus the gold bracelet!
According to Cardplayer, Leon Tsoukernik, the owner of King’s Casino, stated that early bookings for the WSOPE were an encouragement for the total guarantee of the Main Event to be raised to €5 million with €1 million now guaranteed for the winner. Mr. Tsoukernik suggests that players go ahead and book now to secure a spot in this event.
Players will have from October 19th until November 10th to take part in the WSOPE at King’s Casino Rozvadov. Located in the Czech Republic, this will mark the first time the WSOPE has taken place in this area of the world, having previously been hosted in areas such as France and Germany.
The 2017 WSOPE will have a nice selection of tournament options for players to enjoy including No Limit Hold’em, Super Turbo Bounty events, Monster Stacks, High Roller and more. On the 1st, the Little One for One Drop event will take place benefiting the One Drop Foundation. This charity event has unlimited re-entry with two starting flights with a goal of raising money for the charity which helps to provide clean drinking water for third world countries.
