This month, online poker players can look forward to major gaming action via the World Poker Tour (WPT) and partypoker. Both brands are working together to launch the 2021 WPT Online Series in just a few days. The series will run from May 14 to June 2 and feature several tournaments, including two main events!

Details of the Series

The online poker series will feature plenty of poker action, with a nice selection of events to meet every player’s bankroll. A full schedule will be announced in the coming days, but we do know the details of the main events. There is the WPT Online Series Main Event, which has a buy-in of $3,200. This event will start on May 23 and have two starting flights. In this tournament, $3 million in prize money is up for grabs.

The winner of the event not only earns a large payday, but also a luxury Hublot watch. The individual’s name will also be placed on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup. It is expected that a large number of pros, as well as seasoned amateurs, will be vying for the first-place finish.

The WPT Online Series Mini Main will be a smaller affair, offering a $500,000 prize pool and a $530 buy-in. The event should be just as anticipated as the larger event and more affordable for the average player.

Satellite Options

To help players earn a spot in either main event for a much lower price point, partypoker is offering satellite trees. In the Main Event, the satellite tree starts with a $0.01 event which leads to the $3.30 Phase 1 tournament. This event then leads to the Phase 2 event, which has a $33 direct buy-in. Win in the $33 event to go to the Sunday Final where you will find 15 seats are provided to the tournament.

For the Mini Main, there are $0.01 satellites as well that lead to Phase 1, which has a $0.55 buy-in. This phase then leads to Phase 2, which has a $5.50 buy-in. If you finish well in Phase 2, you move on to the Sunday Final. Partypoker is offering up 30 tickets to the Mini Main from this final.
