Two major players in the poker industry, 888Poker and King’s Casino, have partnered up for a one-year period and announced exciting poker events to fans. Those that are somehow not familiar with these two names should know that 888Poker is the second largest online poker platform, whereas King’s Casino Czech Republic is the largest poker room in Europe.
Under the deal, 888Poker is expected to sponsor the German Championships of Poker (GCOP) and the Deutsche Poker Tour (DPT), two popular festivals among German players. Even though this event is often visited by fans from many nations, Germans find it extremely attractive since the property is very close to German border; plus, their poker options in the homeland are pretty limited.
In the statement released by 888Poker, the operator reveals that King’s Casino is scheduled to host a total of eight GCOP and DPT events with buy-ins of €159 and €888. The guaranteed prize pools for the events are set at €100,000 and €200,000, respectively.
Moreover, the property has announced they plan to host a number of top 888Live Local tournaments as well. 888Poker revealed that there will be a series of satellites with low buy-ins starting at only 1c for the DTP and GCOP packages; these packages are going to include full buy-in as well as hotel accommodation during the events. The exact dates of the tournaments will be announced in the next few months.
As was revealed by the parties, the DTP will return with $30 satellites to the reputable Czech facility on 28th of April and it will last until 2nd of May. Afterwards, 888Poker is expected to host $160 satellites to the summer edition of the GCOP starting on 2nd of June and ending four days later.
