In just a few days, 888poker will launch The Knockout Games, an online poker festival featuring 44 events over a fourteen-day time frame. The festival will run from April 24-May 8, offering players access to over $1.25 million in guaranteed prize money. Full Schedule of Events
During The Knockout Games, online poker players will have access to a full schedule of events. 888poker has added in a few mini and regular options so players can buy-in at full price or take part in the budget-friendly versions.
Take the Opening Event for an example. The standard opener is Event #1 and it has a buy-in of $109 with $125,000 in total prize money up for grabs, with a PKO format. Event #2 is a Mini Opening PKO with a much lower $16.50 buy-in and $20,000 in prize money.
Each event in the competition has a similar smaller buy-in option so players of all bankrolls can compete. There will be PKO 8-Max events, super knockouts, freezeouts, and more. Buy-ins start as low as $11 and go as high as $215 depending on the event.
The last two tournaments on the schedule are the main events. The Main Event PKO is Event #43 and it offers the highest buy-in of $215 and a large prize pool of $300,000. Event #44 is the Mini Main and it offers a much lower $55 buy-in and $50,000 prize pool.
Interesting Details
Aside from the full schedule of events, 888poker has also revealed a few more juicy details about the festival. Chris Eubank Jr. is hosting and any player who bubbles during a Knockout Games event will be entered into a raffle to win a pair of boxing gloves signed by the professional boxer.
For those who cannot compete and want to watch the action, the final tables of three different events will be streamed live. Fans can watch on the 888poker Twitch Channel to see how the big events go down.
The first final table to stream will be Event #1, starting on April 24. Next is Event #22 on May 1, a $160 Tune Up PKO tournament with a prize pool guaranteed at $150,000. Event #43 will also be streamed. It is the Main Event and should be one of the more popular tournaments taking place during The Knockout Games.
