Wynn Resorts and Marjan have marked a significant construction milestone at Wynn Al Marjan Island, confirming that the resort’s central tower has officially topped out. The structure has now reached its highest structural concrete point, standing 283 meters tall across 70 floors, just 27 months after foundation works began. The project is progressing toward a planned Spring 2027 opening.
Once the tower’s spire is installed in 2026, the full architectural height will reach 352 meters. At that point, the building will become the tallest man-made structure in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah by more than 100 meters. Developers described the topping-out milestone as a key transition point, marking the completion of the main structural frame and the shift into full-scale interior construction.
Structural Completion Clears Path for Interior Build-Out
With the tower’s concrete framework finished, interior work is now advancing across the resort’s accommodation portfolio. All 1,530 guest rooms and suites have reached full structural completion, with interior fit-outs currently underway in 1,504 of those units. Façade installation on the tower has reached 79 percent, while the surrounding low-rise buildings have achieved 99 percent structural completion.
Across the wider site, developers confirmed that nearly 439,000 cubic meters of concrete have been poured to date. Construction has also generated more than 18,000 jobs, reflecting the scale of the project. Low-rise venue interiors are progressing, with partitions largely installed and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems moving into first and second-fix stages.
A formal ceremony marked the topping-out milestone, bringing together senior leaders from Wynn Resorts, Wynn Design & Development, Marjan, and construction partner ALEC. Attendees gathered at the summit of the tower, where they poured the final batch of concrete and received commemorative steel bars taken directly from the structure.
Max Tappeiner, President of Wynn Al Marjan Island, said in the Wynn’s press release that the milestone reflects both speed and precision. “Standing at 352m and, as the highest building in the Northern Emirates, Wynn Al Marjan Island is reshaping the skyline of Ras Al Khaimah and anchors a destination designed for guests who expect the very best. Reaching the tower’s highest structural concrete point in just over two years is more than a construction achievement; it is a defining moment for Wynn Resorts and a powerful testament to the talent and dedication of the teams bringing this vision to life.”
Integrated Resort Taking Shape Ahead of 2027 Opening
Wynn Al Marjan Island is being developed as the region’s first fully integrated resort, spanning more than 60 hectares. When completed, the property will include 1,217 resort rooms, 297 Enclave suites, two Royal Apartments, four Garden Townhomes, and 10 Marina Estates. Public amenities will include 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a beach club, a large-scale spa and beauty destination, and a luxury shopping parterre.
The resort will also feature Coral Court, a purpose-built events venue, The Showroom theatre, 12 swimming pools, and a 420-meter white-sand beach. A deep-water marina designed to accommodate superyachts will form part of the waterfront offering.
Marjan Group CEO Abdulla Al Abdouli described the project as central to Ras Al Khaimah’s broader tourism ambitions. “Wynn Al Marjan Island is more than a single development; it is the centrepiece of a new global destination taking shape in Ras Al Khaimah. Reaching this construction milestone brings us closer to welcoming the world to a resort that will redefine the Emirate’s hospitality offering and elevate Al Marjan Island and Ras Al Khaimah as a must-visit destination.”
Construction partner ALEC highlighted the technical complexity involved. Barry Lewis, CEO at ALEC Holdings, said, “We congratulate Wynn on this major achievement and are proud to be their partner on a project that continues to redefine what is possible in regional construction. Their willingness to embrace the latest advancements in building technologies has enabled us to streamline workflows, elevate quality and maintain precision across every component of this landmark development.”
Work is also underway on Janu Al Marjan Island, a second joint-venture development announced in November 2025. The project will introduce the Janu brand, part of the Aman Group, to Ras Al Khaimah, with an opening targeted for late 2028. Together, the two developments anchor more than 60 acres of land allocated for future growth on Al Marjan Island.
Wynn Resorts has also confirmed that the topping-out milestone follows the release of updated financial projections for the development. The company previously estimated that annual gross gaming revenues could reach up to US$1.66 billion once operations begin, with analysts suggesting higher potential figures. For now, construction progress remains the focus as the resort moves steadily toward completion.
