After last month naming Anthony Werkman as its new Chief Executive Officer, online casino and sportsbook operator Betway Limited has now revealed that its staff recently raised over £70,000 ($94,000) in aid of the English Federation of Disability Sport.

United Kingdom and Malta-licensed Betway Limited described the English Federation of Disability Sport as ‘one of its charity partners’ before stating that the national organization endeavors to ‘make active lives possible’ by helping individual disabled people to become and remain enthusiastic about sports and energetic activities.

Betway Limited declared that its donated funds have been earmarked for the English Federation of Disability Sport’s Inclusive Fitness Initiative, which helps facilities across the country to improve their services so as to become more inclusive for disabled people.

“We are really pleased to have raised over £70,000 for the English Federation of Disability Sport and are proud of all Betway [Limited] employees who have contributed to this worthy cause,” read a statement from Werkman. “We are always looking to contribute to different charities and in 2018 our employees will vote on which charities Betway [Limited] should partner with.”

This isn’t the first time that Betway Limited has contributed funds to the English Federation of Disability Sport as the firm explained that 2016 saw over 100 of its employees raise £25,000 ($33,500) for the same charity by participating in the Silverstone Half Marathon.
