Swedish online gaming company Betsson Group AB (STO:BETS-B) has inked new content partnership agreements with EveryMatrix subsidiary Spearhead Studios and gambling technology company Playtech plc (LSE:PTEC).
The deal for the Spain-based company will see more than 30 titles within its rapidly-growing portfolio of high-quality HTML5 video slots, table, and other online real-money games go live across various Betsson Group brands, including online operators CasinoEuro and Betsafe, in several regulated Europen markets.
Welcome addition:
Ciara Nic Liam, who is the commercial director for gaming at Betsson Group, said…
“Here at Betsson Group, we are always listening to our customers’ needs and wants. Bringing in new and fresh casino content is a big part of what we do, and I would like to welcome Spearhead Studios to our casino portfolio.” She added that the developer’s games are a “great addition” to the company’s existing collection.
Launched by EveryMatrix in 2018, the Marbella-headquartered studio, which creates its games via the company’s remote gaming server, RGS Matrix, has since its founding unveiled 31 slots and table games within its portfolio, including popular titles such as Blue Diamond Book, Book of the Princess, and Book of Souls II: El Dorado, the sequel to its best-performing title in 2019, which stars British archeologist turned treasure hunter, Lara Jones.
Managing Director at Spearhead Studios, Mathias Larsson used the company press release to comment on the new content partnership, stating…
“Everyone in iGaming knows who Betsson Group is. They are not only a leading brand across Europe, but also a fun and vibrant company that puts customer service first. I am more than proud to see Spearhead Studios’ games live on their casino.” Larsson added that the new addition is a statement of the company’s commitment to making high-quality and localized content available across many markets.
Spearhead UK launch:
The deal with Betsson Group follows the UK Gambling Commission’s amending of EveryMatrix’s license to include casino host activities including casino content development and distribution in the United Kingdom. The approval makes available the studio’s growing portfolio of titles to operators in the European country, with plans to add fresh titles designed with that market in mind.
Playtech tie-up:
As mentioned, Betsson Group simultaneously signed a new content agreement with online gaming software supplier Playtech plc.
Under the four-year partnership deal, the London-listed company, which boasts 140 global licenses in 20 regulated jurisdictions, will provide its Live Casino platform across Betsson Group’s well-established brands including its Betsson, Betsafe, NordicBet and EuropeBet flagship brands.
The popular online casino’s players will now have access to Playtech’s premium Live Casino and table games portfolio, which boasts a wide variety of classic games and original new variants, including Live Slots, Live Quantum Blackjack, and the recently launched hit Adventures Beyond Wonderland.
Live Casino experience:
Commenting this time on the Playtech deal, Ciara Nic Liam said…
“The continued popularity of live casino shows no signs of slowing down, which is why giving our players access to Playtech’s wide breadth of live casino games is a really exciting proposition.”
The new live casino agreement follows the successful 2020 launch of the British company’s iPoker network across a number of Betsson Group’s brands.
Chief Operating Officer for Playtech, Shimon Akad used a company press release to comment on the new agreement, lauding Betsson Group as a “highly respected operator” within the online gambling industry, and explaining that…
“Betsson Group already offers an excellent player experience to its significant international audiences and we are confident that Playtech products and innovations will only serve to enhance this experience further.”
The COO went on to say that they continue to focus on “safer gambling,” with its core strategy to offer “long-term sustainability and innovation for operators and a safe, enjoyable environment for players.”
