After re-joining PokerStars in December 2020 as part of the brand’s ‘All In’ campaign, Neymar Jr. is now taking on a new role. The Brazilian football pro was recently named the cultural ambassador for PokerStars.net. He will use this new position to create new projects for the brand related to culture, including art, design, and music.
New Cultural Ambassador
With his new role, the first action for Neymar Jr. has already created special playlists that players can use while enjoying gaming at PokerStars. According to the brand, the list is the ultimate soundtrack for every poker game.
On April 14, a new advertisement campaign was released featuring Neymar Jr. Every activity and promotion connected to the partnership can be found on a dedicated page at the PokerStars website. The homepage will also feature promotional items connected to the sports star.
Neymar Jr. commented on his new position within the company, stating that Poker is much more than a game, it is a community and culture. That is why he loves it. The footballer is excited to be working with PokerStars.net in this new role and has already collaborated with the group in several areas.
Music is a true passion of Neymar Jr., so that is why he created the playlists first. There is more to come, and Neymar Jr. is excited to show everyone what’s next. It will be fun to see what PokerStars and the sports pro come up with next!
Spring Championship of Online Poker
The announcement of the Neymar Jr. partnership comes at the same time as the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) at PokerStars. The series kicked off on April 4 and continues through the 28th. There are 102 events and $100 million in prize money on offer.
The SCOOP offers low, medium, and high buy-in levels, which means everyone can compete. There are buy-ins ranging from just over $2 to $25,000. The formats vary, so players can easily find an event that suits their playing style.
One nice element of the SCOOP is that there are six Main Events. Three feature Omaha and three feature the standard No-Limit Hold’em. Two are $109, $1,050, and $10,300. Players can compete for a range of guaranteed prize pools with the Omaha events have slightly lower buy-ins than the NLH tournaments.
Check out the full schedule at PokerStars and get started competing in SCOOP today. There is still plenty of time to take part and hopefully earn a payout by finishing in the money!
