The ARIA Resort & Casino is getting ready to host the Super High Roller Bowl starting tomorrow, with a total of $15 million in prize money up for grabs. The best of the best will be arriving at the casino and paying the $300,000 buy-in to take part. First place will earn $5 million and with only 49 players participating, competition will be tough.
Starting on the 29th of May, the event will take place over four days. Ending on the 1st of June, the final table will be seven-handed with the top seven finishers earning a pay day. Last year, the first ever Super High Roller Bowl took place, having a buy-in of $500,000 and offering $21.5 million in prize money. In the end, it was Brian Rast who won first place after defeating Scott Seiver in heads-up play. The first place prize for the 2015 event was $7.525 million.
For this year’s event, the top pros will be back in action, including Seiver and Rast. Jason Mercier, Antonio Esfandiari, Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth are also expected to take part. CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports Network will be airing footage of the event with the entire tournament covered. The Twitch channel at PokerCentral will also provide coverage for fans to check out the action.
