In its continuing expansion across Europe, iGaming company Bethard Group recently announced that it is now licensed to operate in Denmark.

According to the company press release

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer for Bethard Group, Erik Skarp, said that they are “very satisfied” to have been given the green light to operate in Denmark and they look forward to begin to grow their presence in the Danish market.

2018 is a truly exciting year for us

Skarp went on to say that this year has been “truly exciting” for the company, “one in which we are determined to lay a solid foundation for establishing Bethard as Europe’s leading sports betting brand. And we have had a great start. First with the announcement of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’ joining our team, followed by a very successful start in the UK market and a great World Cup. Now the time has come to conquer Denmark.”

Bethard.com is currently licensed in the United Kingdom, Malta and now Denmark. The necessary paperwork has also been reportedly filed by the company to gain a gambling license in Sweden. Additionally, preparations are currently underway and a license application has been initiated in Schleswig-Holstein in Germany.

The Malta-based supplier of casino, odds and live casino online is in the process of seeking licenses in various other markets. The company fully expects to be licensed and have a presence in the majority of key European markets by 2020, according to the news release.

Players in the Scandinavian country will have access to Bethard.com within weeks.

Last month Bethard group inked a partnership deal with Stockholm-based online casino platform and game developer Nolimit City. The deal will see the operator offer the developer’s entire library of innovative games across its group network.

In a step towards creating Europe’s leading sports betting brand, in March this year Bethard signed Swedish soccer icon Zlatan Ibrahimovic to be its brand ambassador.
