Last fall, SiGMA hosted The BiG Sports Dinner at the SiGMA Charity Dinner and Awards in Malta on November 22nd. The event was presented by SiGMA and The BiG Foundation, setting a record with their fund raising efforts. The event was able to raise more than EUR26,000 for several charities, including St Jude Hospital, Malta Community Chest Fund and Reaching Out in Africa. The BiG Sports dinner was such as success that it outweighed the capacity of the venue.
As the only charity dinner themed in sports betting that takes place in the betting and gaming industry, the BiG Sports Dinner is attended every year by a number of sports stars as well as professionals in the industry. CEO of SiGMA, Eman Pulis, explained the event in a recent press release by stating:
“The BiG Sports Dinner is a unique event within the gaming industry and we are privileged to be a part of it. As a company we are very passionate about our industry and charity work, so the BiG Sports Dinner is a natural fit for us. We are delighted that the event raised a substantial amount for worthy charities.”
Several gaming companies were in attendance during the 2017 dinner, in an effort to raise as much funding as possible for the charities listed above. Included in the mix were Leo Vegas, AliQuantum Gaming, Pragmatic Play and many more.
The BiG Foundation was created as a registered charitable organization in the United Kingdom, with a focus on providing support to those in difficult situations with funds provided by individuals and companies. The BiG Foundation partnered with SiGMA on the charity dinner, a connector in the online gaming world, that keeps the community engaged and helps to facilitate breakthroughs. The charity dinner took place during the Malta iGaming Summit and will continue to be a much-anticipated event this year and beyond.
