To celebrate the 15th birthday of its Black Oak Casino Resort, the Tuolumne Band Of Me-Wuk Indians has announced plans to add a 5,000 sq ft extension along with a recreational vehicle park to the California casino.
According to a report from The Union Democrat newspaper, the Black Oak Casino Resort opened in May of 2001 before being expanded five years later. The venue in the small town of Tuolumne, some 100 miles southeast of Sacramento, added a hotel in 2013 with the latest development scheduled for completion early next year.
“Generally, the casino building we’re doing at the moment has been open for ten years now, so it’s time to do some refurbishing and refreshing,” Ron Patel, CEO for the Black Oak Casino Resort told The Union Democrat. “The hotel’s been open for three years, so the recreational vehicle park is a natural addition.”
Patel stated that construction is set to start later in the year while a section of the recreational vehicle park could be open for December.
