One of the leading providers of online casino games – NetEnt have recently announced that they have entered the Bulgarian online gambling market with the help of an agreement with the National Lottery of Bulgaria (NLB). The partnership officially gave NetEnt the permission to implement and launch the majority of its game portfolio on the Lottery’s website (7777.bg) thus offering Bulgarian players the chance to enjoy NetEnt smash hits like Dracula and pop-culture classic Jimi Hendrix, among other games.
Commenting on the newly formed partnership, the CEO of NLB, Milen Ganev, said that the National Lottery has always been about offering top products to its users base and they trust NetEnt to provide top-notch game designs that fit “perfectly” into their concept of iGaming entertainment. He also added that the Lottery hopes that their 2+ million user base will enjoy their latest addition to their product catalogue.
The press release also came with a quote from Enrico Bradamante, the marketing operations chief of NetEnt and Malta managing director, who said that expansion over licensed markets is a key focus of NetEnt’s strategy for growth and that he was exceptionally glad that their game portfolio is now online in Bulgaria. They [the company] are happy to be able to support the NLB in expanding its online presence and they are certain NLB players will enjoy their premium game designs.
The NLB is the biggest online gaming operator in Bulgaria which also holds a firm grip on the brick-and-mortar gambling market in the country where their scratch cards are exceptionally popular. And now, thanks to regulatory changes in Bulgaria, the gambling giant will be able to introduce online casino games for the first time with NetEnt as their premier and exclusive partners. This marks yet another 2016 entry to regulated markets for the popular game designers, who only recently struck a land-based deal in the UK and expanded to the Mexican online gaming market for the first time as well.
