American hotel and casino entertainment company, Caesars Entertainment Inc. (CZR), formerly Eldorado Resorts Inc., is investing $47 million worth of upgrades to its showcase resort property in downtown Reno, the Silver Legacy.
According to the Nasdaq-listed firm’s recent announcement, 75 percent of the 38-floor resort’s 1,600 rooms and suites, from the fifth through the 25th floor, are being renovated to include furnishings, bathroom modifications, updated window treatments, the addition of art and decor pieces, and replacement of flooring and carpeting.
“We want to give guests a visit to remember when they stay with us at Silver Legacy.”
Expected to be completed by this summer, the 1,199-room renovation reportedly set the Nevada-based company back upwards of $47 million and follows the three-year $100 million master renovation project at THE ROW, which was completed in 2019 prior to the 2019 $8.58 billion-plus deal to acquire a majority stake in Caesars, and the subsequent name change.
Reno’s, The Row, consists of three distinct resorts, including Silver Legacy, Circus Circus Reno, and Eldorado Resort Casino Reno, all owned by the Carano family (Caesars Entertainment Inc.).

Regional President and General Manager for Silver Legacy, Glen Carano said in a release…
“We want to give guests a visit to remember when they stay with us at Silver Legacy, and part of that memorable experience includes one of the most important elements to a trip: the hotel accommodations.
“This significant investment in our room product will help further ensure guests receive the most comfortable, enjoyable and elevated experiences during their stay at The Row Reno.”
Reno-based MBA Architecture and Design and a St. Louis-based architect, KdG were contracted to collaborate on the renovation.
