In the online poker world, a triple crown is earned when a player is able to win three poker tournaments online in one week. The tournament has to include a minimum of 100 players and have a prize pool guarantee of $10,000 or more. Earning a triple crown is difficult to do but many top poker pros in the industry have been able to do so. Chris Moorman, the highest earning online tournament gamer, has done so 25 times and just recently earned his 26th triple crown title.

As an ambassador for 888poker, Moorman is a top poker pro who has earned more than $14 million in online poker game play. When it comes to triple crown titles, Onlinepoker.net reports that Moorman has a significant lead, with Nicolas Fierro second in the standings with 21 triple crown wins.

In this most recent triple crown title win, Moorman began by taking down the partypoker $109 Heavyweight title. He defeated a field of 422 players to win just over $8,000 for his efforts. The second event he won took place at PokerStars, where he competed in the $109 Fast Friday event. This tournament saw 212 players competing with Moorman earning a prize of $4,163 in the process. The last tournament Moorman won during the week was the 888poker $55 Monsoon event which earned him $2,590 with only 188 players competing.

Now that he has mastered the online triple crown, Moorman would still like to get his hands on a live tournament triple crown. To do this, a player has to win three major poker tours during their career. This includes WSOP events, World Poker Tour and the PokerStars Championship, formerly known as the European Poker Tour.

Moorman has already earned a World Poker Tour title in 2014 and a World Series of Poker bracelet this year, so now he just needs to earn one more in order to hold a triple crown in the live tournament sector to add to his collection of many triple crown titles in online game play.
