Asian casino operator Silver Heritage Group Limited has announced that David Green has abruptly resigned as its Chairman and has been replaced on an interim basis by independent director Matthew Hunter.

Sydney-listed Silver Heritage Group Limited is responsible for the Tiger Palace Resort Bhairahawa integrated casino resort in Nepal and used a brief Monday press release (pdf) to explain that Green, who moreover served as a non-executive director, had left ‘for both personal reasons and also to enable him to focus upon other business interests’.

Led by Hong Kong-born Mike Bolsover as Managing Director and President, Silver Heritage Group Limited was established in 2003 and additionally runs the Phoenix International Club near Hanoi as well as The Millionaire’s Club and Casino inside Kathmandu’s Shangri La Hotel and Resort.

“The board of directors thanks Mr Green for his considerable effort and input during his tenure as a director,” read the statement from Silver Heritage Group Limited.

The online news domain at CalvinAyre.com reported that this is the second major departure at Silver Heritage Group Limited in the past year after co-founder Tim Shepherd left in a similarly sudden fashion in August despite the imminent soft launch of the firm’s Tiger Palace Resort Bhairahawa.
