Echo Entertainment held a ceremony to celebrate the construction of the new six-star hotel tower which is going to be added to the Jupiters Hotel and Casino complex. The construction of the hotel tower as well as the renovation of the complex will cost A$345 million.
Jupiters hotel tower is expected to be built at the end of 2017 or at the beginning of 2018, just in time for the Commonwealth Games. The hotel will have 17 stories and a total of 70 luxurious rooms. It is aimed to attract wealthy tourists from all over the world, particularly Asian players who know how to enjoy high class service. The 70 spacious rooms will be overlooking the Gold Coast. Moreover, the hotel tower is also expected to create 1,700 jobs.
Echo Entertainment is also planning to renovate the entire complex and add new food and entertainment options. The refurbished facility is expected to catch the eyes of thousands of people, both domestic and international, and to generate approximately a quarter of the entire revenue of Echo Entertainment. The project is intended at celebrating the Gold Coast.
The chairman of Echo Entertainment, John O’Neill, said that it is very important to turn the existing Jupiters resort into a world class integrated complex and to make the Gold Coast area even more attractive for tourists. He also added that the hotel tower will offer a new level of luxury with the best service possible.
Matt Bekier, the chief executive officer of the company, said that they have been working with both domestic and international architects and designers in order to ensure that the complex will resonate local community and be more attractive.
