Visitors to the Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway will now have more gaming options thanks to the addition of electronic Three Card Poker and Blackjack. After a provision was approved on the first of April with the budget of New York State, the casino can prepare to add the new casino style games.

Taking an aggressive approach, Empire City began installing the blackjack games around six weeks ago and poker began two weeks ago. The casino is looking to boost revenues and try and retain the billions spent by residents of New York who go to casinos in surrounding states.

Ryan Munroe is the Director of Slot Operations at Empire City, who stated that the electronic games are extremely popular and they continue to grow in popularity. This happens as the market sees the games are similar to live table gaming. Players will now have no need to travel away from the area to enjoy this type of gaming.

The venue does not have the option to be considered a fully-functioning casino as they do not offer live dealer gaming. With the electronic blackjack option, there are 165 seats with more to come. Players can wager a minimum of $10 with as much as $2,500 per hand. With Three Card Poker, there are three ways to play and four ways to win. The option to wager on the dealer, bet on the card value or bet on both are included.
