Eric Benz, Managing Director of London-based Bitcoin exchange and debit card service Cryptopay is to speak at this year’s Russian Gaming Week (RGW) conference in Moscow about Bitcoin and Bitcoin debit cards.  Benz, who has been involved in FinTech (financial technology) for over 10 years, will be explaining to attendees how the technology works and what impact it has on the future.

RGW is a two-day entertainment and gambling conference featuring talks about the prospects of the business and representatives from the local and foreign gambling industry sectors. The conference regularly invites international operators and game providers to showcase the latest trends in software and gaming machines, but also draws in affiliates, investors, and other concerned parties.  This year will mark the 11th annual event and it will take place at the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention centre in Moscow during the 7th and 8th of June.

Part of Benz’s work history includes working at companies that supply SaaS (Software as a Service) systems to banking and financial institutions and during the past 5 years he has been involved with Bitcoin’s technology – Blockchain – as well. At the conference, he will be representing Cryptopay, one of UK’s oldest BTC exchanges, while his central topic will be about Bitcoin payments and debit cards, their benefits, and how the technology is used to pay out salaries. Part of his talk will also be centered on the future of the Bitcoin market and the niches the cryptocurrency opens.

Inviting Benz to speak about Bitcoin comes at a time when the Russian government is mulling over recognizing virtual currencies after previously “strongly” being against them. According to RGW’s website information, this year’s conference will also give “special attention” to social and mobile gambling, a draft betting advertising legislation and Russian gaming zones.
