A “must attend” event, the 2019 edition of the Mare Balticum Gaming Summit is fast-approaching, and according to boutique gaming event organizer, European Gaming Media and Events, there are a limited amount of ticket plus accommodation packages available.

The second annual edition of the one-day event is slated to take place on May 9 at the Radisson Blu Royal Astorija Hotel in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Confirmed speakers:

The conference will once again bring together industry shareholders and government officials, such as Lolita Sumskaite, Head of the Insurance Activities Division at Ministry of Finance, Lithuania, and Signe Birne from Latvia’s Lotteries and Gambling Supervisory Inspection authority, for the chance to engage in important discussions related to compliance updates, recent technological trends and other hot topics.

Inaugural success:

Last year’s inaugural edition of the gaming summit was hosted in Riga, Latvia, on May 8 and was smashing success. The event was a source of great regional interest especially as more than 80 percent of the 100 regulators, legal experts, industry representatives and operators in attendance reportedly hailed from companies in Latvia, Estonia or Lithuania.

Vilnius plays host:

By strategically choosing the venue in Vilnius for this year’s event, the attending speakers and delegates will not only have a quality experience but also have access to the goings-on in the capital city that is rich with history.

Vilnius, which is situated in the heart of medieval Old Town, can be easily accessed via air travel, with flights from many European cities and hubs including Paris, Barcelona, Frankfurt, London, Copenhagen, Amsterdam or Warsaw rarely exceeding the three-hour mark.

Strategic planning:

Centrally located overlooking the town square and St Casimir’s Church, which itself dates back to 1618, the Radisson Blu Royal Astorija Hotel may be part of a high-end chain, but the building dates from the early 20th century and radiates character. Guests of the 126-room hotel are pampered with 5-star amenities and free WiFi throughout the entire property. Each room is air-conditioned and equipped with a minibar, a TV with cable channels and a bathroom.

The hotel also features the full-service Astorija Bar, which offers a variety of drink options along with a full menu of entrees, pastries and desserts, as well as a traditional French restaurant, Astorija Brasserie, an indoor pool, spa, fitness and more.

Central location:

Located just 6 kilometers from Vilnius International Airport (VNO), approximately 1.5 kilometers from the train station and under 1 kilometer from the bus station, travel and sightseeing are easy with nearby transportation options. Especially popular with visitors are the 15th-century St. Anne’s Church, the Gediminas Castle Tower and the Gate of Dawn, all in Old Town and within walking distance from the hotel. There are shopping and dining options nearby as well.
