Foxwoods Resort Casino, operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe, announced that it will soon open its new casino facility in the Grand Pequot Concourse in Connecticut. The opening of the brand new Pequot Woodlands Casino will be held on August 29, 2023, as reported by CT Insider.
Casino Features:
According to the report, the new Pequot resort occupies around 50,000 square feet of land to include 430 new slot machines, 24 table games and a new VIP slot room with 130 slot machines for the highest stakes. Among other features, the casino will reportedly also include the ”Truth Searcher” slot bar with 40 seats, as well as a public bar and casino floor.
The property’s interior reportedly features designs and symbols inspired by the Pequot tradition and bringing a forest atmosphere with wood-clad pillars, picturesque chandeliers and other motifs used to highlight traditional symbols and values of the Pequot tribe celebrating community, unity, and alliance of tribal members.
New Casino Set to Open on August 29:
Additionally, Pequot Woodland Casino will show the traditional Pequot hospitality on August 29. “We are proud to open our Pequot Woodlands Casino, one of the most significant property updates we have made in recent years,” Jason Guyot, president & CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino, reportedly said in a statement.
Guyot added: “This incredible achievement speaks volumes about Foxwoods’ growth and innovation over the past year, as we continue to focus on offering our guests world-class amenities. We are excited for our guests to experience this dynamic new gaming area, right in the heart of the resort.”
Recent Foxwood’s Integrations:
As reported, the resort’s opening follows the recent Foxwoods’ achievement that marked another step of the Pequot’s developments. The grand opening of Gordon Ramsay’s HELL’S KITCHEN restaurant in Foxwoods Resort Casino reportedly held on July 15 testifies about the careful planning and gradual growth of the tribe’s casino operations.
Fine Dining Option:
In this regard, the recently integrated signature restaurant capable of serving, according to CT Insider, up to 260 guests with the famous Ramsey’s Wellington beef, steaks, seafood and other delicacies seems to justify the tribe’s commitment. This Pequot-operated casino resort in Connecticut is reportedly the Gordon Ramsey’s sixth location for the brand that follows those launched in the prestigious venues in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Washington D.C., and other.
Fast Food Option:
According to the source, Foxwoods will soon also feature another popular brand. As announced in 2022, the Wahlburgers fast-casual burger chain is reportedly set to open by the end of August to complement the resort’s offerings. The brand launched by the artistic Wahlberg brothers in 2011 was present in the state by 2020 and the 2023 collaboration with the tribal casino facility will mark the new milestone for the Massachusetts-based company to expand in Connecticut and simultaneously contribute to the Foxwoods operations.
