After being approved by the Steam community, Full Tilt will soon be offering their services on the Steam marketplace. With more than 125 million gamers, Steam could be a method for Full Tilt to grow their player base. On Steam, Full Tilt will only be offering a play-money product, with a launch date expected by the New Year.

Steam is an online marketplace that has over 6,400 streaming games that can be purchased and free play via the software. Computers and standalone hardware can be used to view the games. Many poker players use the site to stream their poker game play and have thousands of followers. Full Tilt has now been given approval by the community to begin offering their free play service.

It was during a recent conference call involving David Baazov, the CEO of Amaya Gaming, the parent company to Full Tilt that revealed that Full Tilt consisted of just 3% of the overall poker market while PokerStars was able to have a 68% stronghold. The company is looking to use the social gaming community of Steam to help Full Tilt attract more gamers.

The Managing Director of Full Tilt, Dominic Mansour, stated that the opportunity for Full Tilt to introduce their game to the millions of players on Steam is really important. Full Tilt will become the first major online poker brand to offer gaming on the platform, with Mansour stating the move underlines the strategic intentions to explore new avenues for the brand.
