Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia) held a press conference on Tuesday at the luxurious Banyan Tree Macau to announce the focus of the exhibition and conference to be held May 16-18, 2017, at the Venetian Macao. G2E Asia has the full support of the Macau government, casino operators and a host of exhibitors. The industry event offers all interested industry participants the opportunity to make new connections, cement existing relationships, find new products and services, and generally stay in tune with the latest trends in the global gaming industry.

G2E Asia 2016 was a landmark event registering a decade of progress and innovation. More than 10,000 people from 83 regions and countries have been to G2E Asia including some 30 gaming regulators from seven regions and countries. One highly notable speaker at the conference was Mr. Paulo Martins Chan, Macau DICJ Director who spoke on the future of the special administrative region of China at last year’s event. This year the event is set to break more records with a floor space growth of 20% to a full 12,000sqm (129,166 sq ft) of exhibition space hosting 180 exhibitors to include 50 presenting for their first time.

In addition to government support for the Asian super-show, strong attendance and participation from leading iGaming and land-based businesses as well as fresh new faces indicate the sheer depth and breadth of G2E Asia’s importance in the industry. The government is doing their part to make sure commerce thrives at the show offering Hosted Buyers internationally travel subsidies as incentives, financed by the Macao SAR government. Online and land-based business meetings are being coordinated and it is expected about 400 F2F/B2B meetings will be arranged through the match making services for the event.

With a focus that goes beyond gaming, G2E Asia 2017 will highlight and facilitate growth to drive the Macao Government Initiative forward to help participants take advantage of the explosion of non-game spending with the Integrated Resorts Experience (IRE). The module will help casino operators and integrated resorts stay out front of changes and monitor in real time as tourist seek out the ultimate experience on and beyond the casino floors. Beneficiaries of the IRE will include purveyors and providers of entertainment, clubs, bars, IR Technology, and Business Solutions. With the addition of the IRE, G2E Asia is responding to the government’s call to attract visitors with interests in more than gambling and to help develop MICE and other non-gaming attractions.
