Amidst celebrations to mark its 20th birthday, the Gaming Standards Association global industry trade body has announced the results of a recent election to determine the makeup of its latest nine-member board of directors.
The Gaming Standards Association works to formulate standards for the benefit of the entire industry and revealed that its latest election saw Roman Czubak from Austrian gaming machine innovator Novomatic Gaming Industries GmbH selected to serve as its new Chair. It stated that the experienced executive will now be assisted in the role of Vice-Chair by Scientific Games Corporation’s Randy Hedrick with Byron Bridger from Canada’s Atlantic Lottery Corporation filling its Treasurer post.
In addition to these new appointments, the Gaming Standards Association declared that Scott Milford from Aristocrat Technologies Incorporated, International Game Technology’s Adrian Marcu and Mike Langedock of the Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation have been re-elected as members of its board of directors. It explained that Chris Hobbs of Microgaming Software Systems Limited has moreover been selected to return to its executive body as has the Oregon State Lottery’s Syed Hussain and Francesco Rodano from Playtech.
The President for the Gaming Standards Association, Peter DeRaedt, proclaimed that Czubak will be replacing Marcu as the leader of its board of directors before paying tribute to ‘the visionary and steady leadership’ of the group’s outgoing Chair for his endeavors at ‘moving global standards forward’.
“Now we are excited to welcome Roman Czubak and Randy Hedrick as our Chair and Vice Chair,” read a Tuesday statement from DeRaedt. “Both Roman and Randy are deeply respected and judicious innovators and we are pleased to have them lead our diverse board and membership.”
