Sunday Million Details

The most recent $25,500 Sunday Million saw 86 players competing, generating a prize pool of $2,150,000. This amount is around $650,000 more than the guarantee. Players were ready for the action once the event started and it wouldn’t be long before the final table would be set. The top seven players were set to earn a six-figure payday!

The first to go out of the top seven was Niklas Astedt, followed shortly by Biao Ding in sixth. Alex Ponakovs and fan-favorite Justin Bonomo took fifth and fourth place. Jason Koon, a Team GG Ambassador was out next, leaving Mikita Badziakouski and Marius Gierse to battle in the heads-up round.

Both online poker players have been doing well lately, with Badziakouski earning a few cashouts already in 2022. Out of the last four Super MILLION$ events, had has made it to the final table in three tournaments. Gierse won the previous Super MILLION$, taking down the first-place prize of over $1.2 million.

With this tournament, both players decided to cut a deal. Almost $900,000 was split between them. In the end, Badziakouki would earn the win, taking home bragging rights, while Gierse would have to settle for second place.
