In a move that further expands is Europen footprint, Novomatic Interactive division, Greentube, has now gone live with Grand Casino Baden’s online gaming website, jackpots.ch.

Per the terms of the new partnership agreement, the Swiss operator will have access to a “premium selection” of player-favorite land-based titles, including Super Cherry Slots, Golden Game’s iconic title and one that is a cult classic on casino floors throughout the Central European country.

Gaming law:

Following the confirmation of the implementation of the new domestic Gaming Act by Switzerland’s Federal Council in June 2018, the Swiss National Council, the Bundesrat, approved igaming license applications from four of the country’s land-based casinos, Grand Casino Baden, Casino Davos, Grand Casino Luzern and Casino Zürichsee.

The new laws that legalize online gambling but outlaw foreign operators came into effect from January 1st, while unlicensed sites were banned from July 1, 2019.

Switzerland‘s iGaming market opened for business at that time and Grand Casino Baden became the country’s first licensed online casino operator. As a result, the land-based casino launched its jackpots.ch, which is supported by the regulatory data storage solution and platform technology of Malta-based ISO (International Organisation of Standardisation) 27001 certified software & services company, Gamanza.

The current integration is the second such partnership for Greentube, earlier this month having debuted in the jurisdiction with Grand Casino Luzern‘s online interest, mycasino.ch. That launch made possible by the successful completion of ISO audit and will initially include more than 50 titles that Swiss players in the land-based casino segment are already familiar with.

According to Greentube, more partnerships in the jurisdiction are to follow as leading operators receive online licenses.

Having aced the ISO 27001 audit in July this year and subsequent approval from Switzerland’s gambling regulator ESBK (Eidgenössische Spielbankenkommission), the Vienna-based developer and supplier of iGaming solutions was among the first suppliers to provide its considerable services within the jurisdiction.

Via an official press release, Head of Sales for Greentube, Daniel Lechner, said…

“Partnering with Grand Casino Baden is an important step for Greentube, as we expand into Switzerland’s online market. NOVOMATIC being the clear leader with land-based casino slots has allowed Greentube to rapidly secure major partnerships with leading operators.”

Also commenting on the recent tie-up, Chief Financial officer for Stadtcasino Baden Group, Marcel Tobler, added…

“Providing our customers with famous Swiss games such as Super Cherry Slots will serve as a great advantage as we grow our jackpots.ch online brand. Greentube’s portfolio of iconic titles perfectly fits our player profile and we look forward to offering our customers some of the most popular slot games in the market.”

The Novomatic interactive division also recently announced its entrance into the Danish market with RoyalCasino.dk, the online interest of Denmark’s Royal Casino, one of the country’s oldest land-based casino venues.

In related news, in keeping with the fast-approaching Halloween holiday, Greentube recently released a brand new spooky title, Bat Stax. The five-reel, 20-paylines, medium volatility video slot features terrifying creatures of the night and is now available for all B2B partners.
