The first of four violations by Halifax Casino was employing a dealer whom the province had turned down for registration. The cost of this violation was $25,000, it was the largest of all the fines. The Casino also allowed two employees of their parent company to audit the Halifax casino without them being registered with the alchol and gaming division. Ultimately, they were fined $15,000 for this lapse in judgement. The third and fourth violations involved allowing unregistered employees of unregistered gaming suppliers to replace a slot machine bank and to conduct employee training. Penalties for these violations were $15,000 and $20,000, respectively.
