Hard Rock Hotel

Rock and Roll to our second hotel. This hotel is part of City of Dreams together with Crown Towers and Grand Hyatt Macau.  Hard Rock Hotel is located on the Cotai Strip in Taipa.  Service is extremely nice here and upon checking in each guest will be assigned with a specific staff member wearing a leather jacket who will show you around.  These people are approachable and nice.  In their lobby you will notice a big wall filled with a huge collections of guitars and clothes of world-wide artists such as Eric Clapton, Jon Bon Jovi, Aerosmith and many more. Each floor has a designated motif of an artist and you can see the artist clothes and memorabilia as you step off the elevator.

Hotel service is great. We got our room for $187.52 – it was a standard room, but it was extremely well put together.  The rooms offer commanding views of the Cotai Strip.  We got a great view of the Sands and were on the 27th floor.  Included in the accommodation package we selected was access to the Dragon Treasure Show, $400 MOP to spend on products in designated shops and restaurants through out the City of Dreams.  We also got breakfast for free in the Hard Rock Cafe.

Upon going around the huge facility we noticed distinct dragon theme with a big dragon at the entrance of their casino on the ceiling, which is really amazing.  There is another one standing with a big crystal ball in a fountain. These are great photo stops and they are all over the place. We did the 4D Dragon Treasure Show (which was free for hotel guests) – and worth doing if you’ve never been in a 4D experience.

Shops here are nice and bright too.  You will find all the name brands you might want.  Inside the casino we decided to sign up for slot club membership and with your card we received free $100 HKD, but let me remind you, you cannot play this $100 HKD if you did not deposit $20 first. We decided to play slots.

If you are a “Slot” player and you are only a beginner make sure to approach a slot attendant personally to avoid aggravation.  Slot machines these days can be quite complicated!

Over all we were very happy with our stay in the City of Dreams Hard Rock Hotel and would recommend it to our friends.  Make sure you tell them the World Casino Directory recommended it!
