With plans to open this summer, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City continues its efforts to prepare the Boardwalk property for the public. Hard Rock International is anticipating an early summer opening and to get ready, recently provided plans for 80 signs that will be spread throughout the property. Appearing before the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority Land Use Division last week, representatives of the casino presented a site plan as well as requests for variances for the signs to be used on-site.
According to the Press of Atlantic City, the package for the casino signage included identification signs as well as logos, along with informational and directional signs that will be located around the hotel and parking garage. Signs were also proposed for the RockStop Gas & Wash.
Included in the plans is a gigantic guitar, close to 60 feet in size, that will be placed on-site near where a fountain was formerly located. According to SOSH Architects Thomas Sykes, the Hard Rock is primarily concerned with providing signage for patrons to be able to easily navigate throughout the Atlantic City property. The goal is to provide ease of access to the property, without any confusion, within the parking areas, hotel, casino, etc.
The Board of Directors within the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority Land Use Division is expected to vote on the signage variances during their meeting tomorrow or by the April 17th meeting.
