Vietnamese property developer Saigon Cuu Long Corporation has signed a deal that will see Hilton Worldwide manage the hotel operations at its new casino and hotel property in Ho Chi Minh City.

Set to be known as the Hilton Saigon when it opens in the fourth quarter of 2019, the new 350-room downtown development located just over four miles from the capital city’s giant Tan Son Nhat International Airport is to feature in excess of 16,000 sq ft of meeting space including an 8,800 sq ft ballroom alongside a casino, two 24-hour restaurants, a spa, numerous beverage outlets, a gym and an outdoor swimming pool.

“We have chosen to partner with Hilton Worldwide because of its sterling reputation and deep hotel management expertise,” read a statement from Nguyen Van Kham, Chairman for Saigon Cuu Long Corporation. “And given the strength of the Hilton brand, we are confident that the Hilton Saigon will be the hotel of choice for Ho Chi Minh City’s growing number of visitors.”

Saigon Cuu Long Corporation declared that the Hilton Saigon will be located in the heart of the capital’s central business district next to the nation’s sixth tallest building, the 676-foot Vietcombank Tower. It stated that the immediate area is also home to many of the city’s administrative offices and foreign consulates as well as major tourist attractions such as the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica Of Saigon, the Saigon Opera House and the Reunification Palace.

“Today’s announcement underscores our commitment to grow our presence in Vietnam, both by introducing more brands from our portfolio of 13 brands and by entering into new locations,” read a statement from Guy Phillips, Asia and Australasia Development Senior Vice-President for Hilton Worldwide, which already operates the Hilton Hanoi Opera and Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi in northern Vietnam and has plans to inaugurate a trio of further new hotels in the country including its Hilton Da Nang in the near future. “Ho Chi Minh City, the economic center of Vietnam, is a gateway destination for leisure and business travelers and we are thrilled to partner with Saigon Cuu Long Corporation to develop the Hilton Saigon as a strong addition to our portfolio.”
