The Horseshoe Casino Baltimore is a gaming location in Maryland that sees a lot of foot traffic, especially on the weekends. This past weekend an unusual and alarming instance occurred involving a man from Virginia. Daniel Bennet, a 27 year old man from Virginia tried to enter the casino with a fake ID and was carrying a handgun.
Bennett arrived at the casino and used another individual’s ID to try and enter the premises. After being caught using the fake ID, Bennett ran away from officers on the scene who were able to catch him and make an arrest in the parking lot of the casino garage. When he was arrested, Bennett was found to be carrying a .45-caliber handgun.
The would-be gambler now faces charges, including possessing a firearm as a felon. He is currently being held on $250,000 bond.
