Last week we reported that Horseshoe Southern Indiana Casino had closed their hotel due to fears of flooding. The riverboat casino temporarily closed Saturday morning as well. Several events have been re-scheduled or postponed. The Midwest Regional Poker Championship Main Event, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday was postponed. The event has not been re-scheduled yet.
A post on the casino’s Facebook page said, “Due to rising Ohio River conditions Horseshoe Southern Indiana is temporarily closed effective immediately. For the well-being of our team members and guests, we will reopen once water levels have receded to a safe level. Our dedicated Marine Operations staff are closely monitoring river forecast and a future announcement regarding reopening will be sent as soon as possible,”
