Online and mobile casino software provider and content aggregator iSoftBet has added yet another game to its growing portfolio of proprietary titles, with Rising Samurai: Hold & Win featuring expanding reels, free spins, and a respin bonus courtesy of its favorite game mechanic.
This Eastern-themed video slot is played on a 5-reel game panel with 576 ways to win in the base game, which increases to 3,087 during the free spins round when the expanding grid is at full size via unlocking rows above reels 2, 3 and 4.
To score a regular win, land three or more identical symbols from the far left side to the right on adjacent reels, the typical 10, J, Q, K and A card values making up low pays and four different ranking samurai warriors comprising the high pays. The former are worth 0.75 to 3 times the stake while filling a single line with five of the latter, is worth 4 to 12.5 times the stake, with the red warrior the most valuable. Finally, the Japanese throwing star is the wild and can land on reels 2, 3, or 4, replacing all regular paying symbols.
Hold & Win Respins:
Triggering the Hold & Wind Respins will require players to land five or more Samurai coins. When that happens, three spins are awarded, with the coins that land locking into place and spins being reset to three. Coin symbol values are set at between 1 times and 10 times the stake or possess a Mini, Major, Maxi, or Grand prize, worth 25x, 50x, 100x, and 250x the bet, respectively.
2nd bonus game and modifier:
Triggering the second bonus game happens when 3, 4, or 5 free spins appear, which awards 10, 12, or 15 free spins. It is also possible to land special Samurai Booster symbols in free spins, and either as many as three extra rows can add on to reels 2, 3, and 4, or the win multiplier can be boosted to a maximum of x4 and applied to all free spins that remain. Free spins are not re-triggerable.
A random in-game Katana Modifier is also featured in this Hold & Win title, where the Rising Samurai can land over the reels and award players a guaranteed winning spin, or launch either Rising Samurai Respins or Free Spins.
Above & beyond:
Commenting on the new launch, Mark Claxton, Head of Games for iSoftBet, said that Rising Samurai see them “steering the Hold & Win offering in a new direction by drawing inspiration from Japan and the ways of its noble warriors.”
He adds that the title “goes above and beyond in terms of the impressive number of modifiers and special symbols it provides, giving players every chance of landing an impressive win while they enjoy the exceptional graphics and animations on display.”
As mentioned, the provider’s latest release adds to its growing Hold & Win collection, with the Asian-themed slot following recent hits, Plunderin’ Pirates and The Magic Orb, both launched in March.
