High Rollers Week kicked off at GGPoker on November 8, providing players with a ton of high-quality gaming action. The series will see a total of $22 million in prize money awarded across several events. As the series is already half-way through, close to $11 million in prize money has been provided. Many new champions have been named among the first events, including Jans Arends. Jans was able to claim the first place finish of Event #9, besting 316 other players to win the tournament.
Details of Event #9
Players competing in the event paid $2,100 and were given 25,000 in chips to compete. The game format of this event was NLHE. The top 44 players were able to cash out and receive a nice payday. Top players were in on the action and those who made it to the final nine were guaranteed a five-figure payout or higher.
In the end, it was down to Arends and a player known as “Decent!” The one-on-one battle would not last long before Arends would earn the top prize of $119,392. His competitor, “Decent!” had to settle for second place and $88,734 in prize money.
More Events to Come
There is still more action to come via High Rollers Week. Players can compete in Event #11, the Super High Roller with $25,000 buy-in. This tournament has a guaranteed prize pool of $2.5 million. Event #18 is the $10,300 Super MILLION$ Main Event, one tournament that many players are looking forward to.
The Main Event has a moderately high buy-in but offers a total of $5 million in prize money. It takes place on November 15. Players have already been competing in satellite options at GGPoker to try and earn a spot into the big online poker event!
