Massive Online Event
It appears as though the poker community was ready to play once the starting flights began for this event. The $535 buy-in is relatively high for many players but it did not stop the event from drawing a huge playing field. With so many players competing, the guaranteed $5 million in prize money was boosted to over $7.1 million!
Seven of the nine players competing in the final table were able to earn a six-figure payday. It was Nikita Kupchin that was eliminated first, with Vu Tai not far behind in 8th. After the first two players were removed, it left everyone remaining with a payout of $118,000 or higher depending on the finish.
In the end, it would be Huang and Miscikowski remaining at the felt, with both hoping to earn the first-place finish and the coveted gold ring. Neither player was ready to give up positioning, but eventually, Huang would take the lead and the final hand would go down, giving him the title win, prize money, plus the ring.
