Maltese online casino and sportsbook operator Kindred Group has announced the signing of an agreement that is to see the United States-facing variant of its Unibet brand begin offering innovations from safer gambling software specialist Gamban.

The Valletta-headquartered firm used an official Tuesday press release to detail that the alliance means Unibet customers in American jurisdictions such as Indiana, New Jersey and Pennsylvania can now download self-exclusion software from its British partner that will prevent them from using any of their devices to access a plethora of gambling sites and applications.

Kindred Group explained that it has held similar partnerships with Gamban covering multiple European markets and Australia since 2017 in advance of describing its latest deal with the Southampton-based innovator as an ‘important industry first step’ in ensuring that its rapidly expanding pool of American punters can enjoy ‘a safe and exciting gambling experience.

Widespread protection:

Maris Catania serves as the Head of Responsible Gambling and Research for Kindred Group and she used the press release to assert that the technology from Gamban is to be made freely available to its Unibet customers so as to provide them with access to a comprehensive online self-exclusion tool. She moreover proclaimed that the protections offered by this technology have been designed to be difficult to circumvent with the rollout forming part of the operator’s campaign to bring ‘European know-how and expertise in responsible gambling to the United States.’

For his part and Jack Symons from Gamban used a second press release to pronounce that his firm is ‘incredibly excited’ to be partnering with Unibet across the budding iGaming market of the United States. He furthermore declared that the move highlights how the industry is quickly evolving to recognize how products such as those offered by his company ‘can protect their players and the sustainability of their companies as well as the wider industry’.
