The 2019 Poker Masters continues outside the Aria Casino in Las Vegas, with several events already finishing up. The most recent tournament to conclude was Event #6. The tournament had a buy-in of $25,000 and included a No-Limit Hold’em format. It was Kristen Bicknell who earned the first-place win during the tournament, ending up with $408,000 for the win, her largest to date.
Tournament Details:
The field of the tournament included 51 players, each hitting the felt at the PokerGO studio in the hopes of claiming the first-place win. Due to the high buy-in, the tournament attracted a field of top poker players including Erik Seidel, Bryon Kaverman and Manig Loeser, among others.
In the end, it would be Kristen Bicknell and Chance Kornuth remaining to duke it out in heads-up play to determine who would take the tournament crown and the major first-place prize.
The two would battle back and forth with Kornuth going all-in twice and surviving. In the end though, Bicknell would hold pocket eights and the chip lead when she went up against Kornuth’s pocket nines with both all-in.
Bicknell would earn a straight on the river which gave her the hand and the title win. Surprisingly, she had no intention of entering the poker event and told Poker Central she had registered on a whim.
